FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD Leadership

FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Che' (Shay) Weber

Chaplain, Rev., Senior Pastor, Mama Che'

I was elected to serve as FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD's Pastor in October 2004.

As a teacher/pastor, I use honest & strong preaching, do leadership development of our Deacon Board, and lead our Praise Team on keyboard.

I have a deep desire grow our church family through teaching biblical views that will be embraced and encouraged, have empathetic members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. I take worship and preaching very seriously, using various methods to present God's word in a way that connects people to His love and truth. We often look more like a classroom than a church service, with questions, answers and input going between the pulpit and the people.

As a prior EMT, nursing student/aide and caretaker, we also reach out to our community in many ways. We adopted our local elementary school: Wallenpaupack Area South in Newfoundland, PA. We also regularly support our local law enforcement: Sheriff departments, Milford Police, and State Police.

We have food & clothing pantries provided by the members and community donations to assist those in need.

I am an Ordained Assemblies of God minister and credentialled Chaplain with the AG, as well.

I have been happily married since 1984 to my husband, Stephen. He is a retired Township DPW (48 years), runs Laughing Duck Farm (where our fresh eggs go to our pantry), and is my right-hand man! You'll find "Papa Steve" in the sound booth Sunday mornings. We have no children (other than our church!) but we also rescue senior dogs. Our family currently has 2 pet ducks, a Jack Russell, a MinPin, a Chiweenie... and assorted ducks, geese and chickens.
