Last Sunday we commemorated Passover with a wonderful haggadah to complement our seder. The church family gathered around the tables and the children participated, and the roast beef meal delighted all.
Although the usual protestant church celebrates Ash Wednesday, Lent, Maunday Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, we pull them together into Passover. It is a mandatory Feast of the Lord in Leviticus 23. And we know that Yeshua/Jesus fulfilled the requirements of Passover!
Now the stage is set for the Grand celebration of The Resurrection this Sunday, also known as The Feast of Firstfruits.
Jesus/Yeshua is the ultimate and perfect fulfillment of God's appointed feasts. We are so blessed to be children of God -- so loved, so forgiven, so empowered to be His Ambassadors on Earth!
His name is deliverance and salvation from the death of sin.
His name is a promise of a future beyond our comprehension.
His name is a power to embrace to aid us in doing His will.
His name is our Hope.
Hope for the present victories and the future inheritance of eternal life in a literal Heaven with God/Yahweh Himself.
Such JOY should fill our hearts, regardless of our circumstance. Such HOPE should keep us looking forward. Such LOVE should compel us to share the Good News with anyone and everyone at any time.
Friday they wept.
Saturday they hid and waited.
Sunday they rejoiced and celebrated.
No matter what you are going through right now, never forget that you are never alone, never unloved and never ever without HOPE. Hope defined is, "Joyful expectation of good from God!"
We might stumble. We might mourn. We might hurt. We might feel or think all kinds of things. BUT GOD!!!!
Keep looking up and hold onto Jesus.
Friday is here.... BUT SUNDAY IS ON THE WAY!!
Marantha, y'all!
He will return.
Stay ready.
Shalom.
